تدين جمعية الدفاع عن حرية الصحافة، قيام تنظيم داعش الارهابي  باعدام المصور الصحافي رعد محمد رمضان العزاوي الذي يعمل في قناة سما صلاح الدين الفضائية بعد شهرين من اختطافه، بحسب مصادر مقربة من عائلة العزاوي.

فيما لا يزال الصحفيان طارق صالح شنكالي وأحمد الوطني المختطفان من قبل داعش مجهولا المصير إلى الآن.

وقال مدير عام قناة سما صلاح الدين مروان ناجي جبارة للجمعية ان تنظيم داعش الإرهابي اعدم يوم أمس الجمعة المصور الصحافي رعد العزاوي وشقيقه قاسم العزاوي إضافة إلى شخصين كانوا مختطفين معهما، منذ نحو شهرين.

وأضاف جبارة أن الفقيد رعد العزاوي اعدم نتيجة ممارسة عمله الصحفي في محافظة صلاح الدين قبل دخول تنظيم داعش، مؤكداً انه طيلة الفترة الماضية لم ترد أي أخبار عن مكان اختطاف العزاوي، سوى مقطع فيديو قصير يظهر فيه اعترافا تحت تهديد السلاح للزميل الشهيد بأنه ساعد طيران الجيش العراقي في تحديد مواقع داعش، وعليه جرت "محاكمته" من قبل المسلحين وبالتالي إعدامه.

أن جمعية الدفاع عن حرية الصحافة، تدين هذا الفعل الإجرامي الشنيع الذي اقدم عليه التنظيم الإرهابي، الذي واصل خلال الفترة الماضية ملاحقة الصحفيين في المحافظات التي يستولي عليها، واختطافهم ومن ثم إعدامهم، ومن بينهم الصحفيان احمد الوطني وطارق شنكالي، الذان لا يعرف مصيرهما إلى الآن.

كما تعبير الجمعية عن شديد استهجانها، لعدم مبالاة الحكومة العراقية بمصير هؤلاء الصحفيين.

يذكر أن جمعيتنا أصدرت خلال الفترة الماضية بيانين طالبت وناشدت فيه الحكومة العراقية بالإسراع في إنقاذ حياة الصحفي رعد العزاوي.
